Gentle But Direct

"Jennifer... I think we should talk. I know things haven't been very eventful between us when it comes to intimacy and I've been worried that you might be looking for that intimacy elsewhere. I'm not accusing you of anything, but I'm getting scared and I just wanted to clear the air between us."

She frowns a little and stares down at her drink for a second before returning eye contact with you. "Honey, I love you. Why would you think that?" She asked.

"Well... I noticed lately how you've been texting a lot. Just seems a bit out of character for you. You seem giddy and excited when you do, kind of like when we had started dating years ago." You smile and hold her hand.

"I don't know what to say..." She looks away, a bit nervous but she was reassured by the way you were talking to her. "I guess the fire feels like it's all but died out between you and me. The love is there, and I still dream of being with you forever, but... how do I put this..." She pondered, "I feel like certain needs I have aren't needs you can fill." She smiles and gives you a kiss on the cheek.

"What do you mean?" You ask, awaiting her response.
